Graveside services for James Alexander Blakney were officiated by Rev. J.E. Montgomery, the pastor of the First Christian Church at Graham.
Mr. Blakney moved to Texas as a young man. He moved to Young County, Texas in 1896. Mr. Blakney was the county jailor since 1926. HIs faithfulness working for the county and his cheerful disposition has won many friends in Graham and throughout Young County. Mr. Blakney was a member of the First Christian Church in Graham.
Survived by three daughters - Mrs. W.P. Calloway, Mrs. B.N. Yates, Mrs. T.J. Beall; one son - L.L Blakney.
