As a child, Mr. Ecke had lived in Northern Michigan and had attended school in Escanaba. From 1904 until his retirement in 1945, he had been employed by the Chicago & Northwestern Railway. He had resided in this city since early in 1946, and had lived in Escanaba, Green Bay and Sheboygan previous to that time.
