THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 3 Feb 1989. ‘Robbie Hazel York, 79, Rt.4, Paris, died Thursday, 2 Feb 1989, at Cherry Street Annex. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, 4 Feb, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Mrs. York was born 20 Apr 1909, in Lamar County, a daughter of Charlie and Evie Lee Hutchings Rasberry. She married Elmer B. York on 22 May 1930 [sic], in Lamar County. He died 12 Mar 1988. She was a member of the First Christian Church and had worked at Delmar school as a cook. Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Newberry of Rt 4, Paris, and Pat Hollje of Paris; two sons, Charles York of Lewisville and Mickey York of Commerce; one brother, Ross Rasberry of Paris; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.’
