Bertha "Bert", age 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday at Skaalen Home in Stoughton. She was born the eighth child of William & Florence (Helton) Fore. On September 22, 1945, she was united in marriage to Raymond E. Netrefa in Arcola, IL. Ray & Bert moved to Stoughton in 1953, where they owned and operated Shady Rest Nursing Home for many years. Bert was active in the community as a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Rebekah Lodge. With her green thumb, she enjoyed her house plants, gardening, and any kind of yard work. She very much enjoyed arts and crafts and was the 'Craft Lady' at the Odd Fellows and Rebekah Youth Camp for many years. She is survived by her children, Ray (Julie Reddeman) Netrefa, Margo Dilocker, and Rose (Mike) Finfrock; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, at Skaalen Chapel, Stoughton, with the Rev. James Koza officiating. Thank you to the staff of Friendship Circle for all their kindness to Bert and her family. Olson-Holzhuter-Cress, Stoughton assisted with arrangements.
