Entered into eternal rest on the morning of January 26, 2008, David William Belcher, married 57 years to the late Joyce Denman Belcher. Residence, North Charleston, SC.

The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Monday, January 28, 2008, at two o'clock. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.


Mr. Belcher was born May 19, 1928 in Charleston, South Carolina, a son of the late David William Belcher, Sr. and the late Rena Jones Belcher.

He was a member of Cooper River Baptist Church .

Mr. Belcher retired from the Operations Department at Westvaco and was an avid supporter of Clemson University, a 40 year member of IPTAY, a member of the Charleston Paper Mill Retirees Association, , and a graduate of Asheville Biltmore College.

Surviving are a son, Bill Belcher and wife, Terrie, of Richmond, VA; a daughter, Davia Parker of Hanahan; a brother, Ernest Belcher of Summerville; four grandchildren, Andrea and Cale Belcher, and Courtney and Amanda Parker; several cousins; and nieces and nephews.
