He was born on September 2, 1932 in Douglas, Arizona to parents Arturo and Hortencia Robles. He was a retired Surveyor with the City of Phoenix. He served in the United States Army and afterwards moved to Tempe and attended ASU.
Art lived life to the fullest and never lost his sense of humor. He was loved by many and will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Reynaldo and sisters Ramona and Cecilia. He is survived by Marina,his loving wife of fifty years; his children Sylvia Applegate, Anna Saillant (Chuck), Linda Romero (Jimmy), Steven (Isabel), and Susan Shultz (David);his brothers Ramon, Manuel, Carlos and Leonardo Robles; sister Evelyn LaForge; Thirteen grandchildren and seven great -grandchildren.
Visitaion will be on Thursday, July 26 from 6-8 PM at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 3424 N. 18th Ave., Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be on Friday at 9 AM at St. Gregory Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Avenue. Arrangements entrusted to Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary.
