Cadwallder Baker was the son of William Baker of near Westford, Otsego Co., NY. The 1810 Census shows Cadwallder Baker, is father William Baker and future father in law William Jewell in Westford, Otsego Co., NY, then by the 1820 census Cadwallader is found in the census of Muddycreek Twp., Butler Co., PA. The 1830 census has Cadwallder Baker and his father in law William Jewell listed as living in Muddycreek Twp., Butler Co., PA. 1840 census also has him living in Muddycreek Twp. 1850 Census has him living in Franklin Twp., Butler Co., PA. I don't think he moved, it was just the township boundries changing.

Cadwallader had (7) children to his wife Sarah Jewell:

1. Jacob Jewell Baker (27 Nov 1812 - 2 Feb 1892, married to Catherine Hockenberry, daughter of Casper Hockenberry and Margaret Shaffer.

2. William R. Baker,(born abt. 1818)nothing more known.

3. James Baker (1821 - 15 Jun 1849), married Maryanne Elizabeth Milliron, daughter of John N. Milliron and Elizabeth Beighley.

4. Mariah Baker (16 Oct 1823 - 9 Apr 1903), married Andrew Albert, son of Adam Albert and Margaret Schreck. This is my 3rd Great Grandmother.

5. Hiram Baker (13 Oct 1826 - 23 Apr 1904), married Margaret Opre.

6. Samuel Baker (18 Feb 1834 - 3 Oct 1865), married Angeline Opre.

7. Matilda Baker (Feb 1835 - abt 1905), married John Gallagher, son of James Gallagher and Mary Albright.
