Services for Pearl Abbott , 80 , of 2754 Bellevue, Bettendorf,
will be at 11 AM Wednesday at the Comstock Funeral Home,
Unionville, Missouri.. Burial will be in the Shipley Cemetery,
Unionville …
Visitation will be from 7 – 8:30 PM today …
McGinness Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements..
Mr. Abbott died Sunday in St. Luke's Hospital …
He retired in 1968 as a millwright at the Davenport Alcoa Works,
where he had been employed 17 years …
Mr. Abbott married Ada Hurley.. She died in 1944.. He later
married Dorothy Dawes in 1955…
He was a former member of the Millwright Union ..
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, a daughter, Joan
Broderick of Bettendorf, sons Howard of Ottumwa, Iowa and
Gene of Huntsville, Alabama ; seven grandchildren, two
great grandchildren ; a sister, Octa West of Livonia, Missouri and
a half sister, Dora Mullins of Unionville ….
