Hazel Sloan Egan-Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at the Lavander Funeral Home in Albion for Mrs. Hazel Egan 70 of Albion who died this morning at the Boone County Hospital.

The Rev Wanda Clausen will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home all day Sunday.

Mrs. Egan was born Nov 5, 1902 in Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sloane and was married to Walter in Ord. A lifelong resident of Nebraska, she taught in rural schools for many years.

Surviving her is a daughter, Mrs. John (Betty) Pestal of Omaha; three brothers, Clark Sloane, and Melvin Sloane of Canada, Frank Sloane Jr. of Tacoma Wash; a sister, Mrs. Lester (Marie) Nelson of Nampa, Idaho, and six grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter and a sister.
