Aged Resident Passes Away

John Fletcher Boyer, a well known and highly respected farmer died last Wednesday morning at 10:35 o'clock at his home five miles southeast of here, death being __ advance age, but had been bed fast about a week before his death.

Mr. Boyer was born on a farm near here, March 9, 1832, and had spent the greater part of his life here. Mr. Boyer was married three times, the first wife being Miss Amrilla Stark, to this union, ten children were born, all of whom are dead. The second wife was Miss Almire Hopkins, whom has been dead a number of years. The surviving wife was formerly Mrs. Katie Cash Black. Three Grand children, Mrs. Miliard Hunt of Terre Haute and Lela and June May residing here and one brother T. Boyer of Martinsville survive.

The deceased was a faithful member of the Pleasant Hill church for over fifty years.

The funeral took place Friday at 1 o'clock at the Pleasant Hill church, Rev. H. M. Brooks of Paris officiating.
