Arcade -- Frank W. Briggs of 278 North Street, died today (June 20, 1969) at his home after a short illness.
Born Feb. 18, 1899, in Lititz, Pa., he was a son of Frank W. and Nettie Yetter Briggs. He married the former Mabel Jackson who died May 8, 1953. He later married the former Edna Altschaft, who survives.
Mr. Briggs was a machinist for the K.R. Wilson, Co. in Arcade for over 30 years. He retired in 1968 from the Motorola corp, where he had been employed for five years.
Surviving, in addition to his widow are two sons, Richard Briggs of Arcade and Dale Briggs of Cattaraugus; a step son, John G. Coloross of Arcade; a step-daughter, Mrs. Harold (Donna) Phillippi of Delevan; 10 grandchildren; a brother Charles Briggs of Franklin; and two sisters Mrs. Eric (Grace) Lee of Yorkshire and Mrs. O.B. (Ruth) Webster of Rochester.
