Mrs. Mary E. (Wyncoop) John, 70, widow of Guy M. John of Templeton, R.D.#1 (Mosgrove) died Monday evening, February 13, 1950 at 7:55 p.m. in the Armstrong County Hospital. Mrs. John was born in Oakland, Clarion County, February 25, 1879, a daughter of Harrison and Mary Elizabeth (Mortimer) Wyncoop. Her husband preceded her in death on October 18, 1949. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Adrien Blanc, Sturgeon; Leroy John, Kittanning; George W. John, Canton, OH; Mrs. Lulu Maxwell, Tarentum; Mrs. Warren Fink, Worthington; Harold John and Mrs. Ernest Cornman both of Templeton, R.D.#1. Twenty-one grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren also survive, along with two brothers, George Wyncoop and William Wyncoop both of Rimersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Hummel, Leeper; Mrs. G.B. Hooks, Rimersburg and Mrs. R.D. Hummel, El Dorado, KS. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Rev. Walter Kennedy, pastor of the Templeton and Goheenville Presbyterian Churches will conduct the service. He will be assisted by Clair D. Walker, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be made in the family plot in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
