"COLUMBUS QUARTER - Many friends here were saddened to hear of the very sudden death of Clarence W. Fowler, at his home near Sherburne, Monday. He was found in the barn slumped down on the floor, and carried into the house and a doctor was called who said he had been dead about an hour from a heart attack, to which he was subject. Funeral was held from the home, Thursday, with interment in the South Edmeston cemetery near his old home, where he lived many years. Much sympathy is extended the bereaved family in their sorrow."
