He married Lily Rebecca Loveday on 5 Dec 1906
Waikato Argus, 6 Dec 1906. Wedding Bells CASEY-LOVEDAY
Yesterday morning a quiet wedding, at which only the relatives and intimates of the parties were present, took place at St Mary's Church, when the Rev Father Darby united in the bonds of holy matrimony, Miss Lily R. Loveday, third daughter of Mr James Loveday, of Hamilton and Mr Richard Casey, second son of Mr Andrew Casey, of Claudelands. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr G. Loveday, wore a dress of lavender silk voile, trimmed with white satin, with tulle hat to match. The bridesmaids were Misses M. Loveday and N. Casey. The bridegroom was supported by his brother Mr William Casey. The presents were particularly good. The bridegroom presented the bride and bridesmaids with gold brooches.
After the ceremony a luncheon was given by the bride's parents and the happy couple left by the express for Auckland where the greater portion of the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's travelling dress was of French grey, with white facings.
