Services for Gladys "Sissi" M. Welch Shirley, 82 of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Friday, December 21 at Reliance Baptist Church in Reliance. The Rev. Ray Marshall will officiate. Interment will be in Reliance Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 20 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.

Gladys was born on January 30, 1925, in Bryan to Jim G. and Marie Gilmore Welch. She attended Bryan schools and was a lifelong resident of Bryan. She was a devoted wife of 62 years and lived for her family and work. She was as a bookkeeper and co-owner of Central Electric Supply in Bryan for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim G. and Marie Gilmore Welch, and sister, Jewell Welch.

Survivors include her husband, Frank D. Shirley of Bryan; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Linda Shirley of Bryan; daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Benny Bomnskie of Bryan, and Bridget and Gary Sebesta of Caldwell; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie G. and Sylvia Welch of Bryan; brother in-law and sister-in-law, Perry and Delores Shirley; eight grandchildren, Ricky Bomnskie, Sandy Bomnskie, Shana Ogden, Steven Bomnskie, Marquel Knapp, Kenneth Kay, Melissa Pruitt and Michael Kay; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and many relatives, friends and neighbors.

Momma supported Billy Graham Ministries and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Please donate to the charity of your choice.

Pallbearers will be Ricky W. Bomnskie, Justin Bomnskie, Cody Morrison, Kenneth Kay, Michael Kay, Jim G. Welch III and Scott Welch. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Bomnskie, Justin Hopper, Ricky L. Bomnskie, Cameron Ogden, Westin Bomnskie, Dustin Bomnskie and Richard Salinas.
