Wilbur James Patterson, 67, Cambridge R.D. 3, died at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday at Guernsey Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
A retired fireman at Cambridge State Hospital and former employe of the Irwin Works, Clairton, Pa., he was born Dec. 14, 1900, in Cambridge, the son of James M. and Mary Anne Bell Patterson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Eagles Lodge 386.
He leaves his wife, the former Alice McKim, whom he married Jan. 5, 1922; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Betty) Linn, and Mrs. Edward (Rebecca) Linn, both of Lore City R.D. 1; five granddaughters, one grandson; one sister, Mrs. Richard Mercer, Cambridge R.D. 3; one brother, Vernon Patterson, Cambridge R.D. 3; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. John A. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
