Anna ‘Ann' Margaret Middleton Highley, 80, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007.
She was the beloved wife of George C. ‘Shorty' Highley, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
She was the daughter of the late Walter Middleton and Mabel Middleton Lyttle.
She graduated from West Chester University, where she was active with the University Alumni Association and was a first-grade teacher for 35 years in the West Chester Area School District.
She was a resident of West Goshen Township for over 57 years, where she served on the township's Park and Recreation Board.
She was a member of the Eastern Star of Chester, the PSEA, the Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, where she was served as a past president of the Alpha Eta Chapter.
She taught Sunday school at the Willistown United Methodist Church, where she and her husband were charter members.
She was also a member of the Brandywine Grange for over 50 years and enjoyed entertaining, along with her husband, at their home, ‘Holiday Hill.'
In addition to her husband, Anna is survived by her brother, Gilbert Lyttle and his wife, Dorothy of Lynchburg, Va; along with nieces, nephews, friends and students.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 26, at the Founds Funeral Home Inc., High and Union streets, West Chester, 610-696-0134, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Interment will be private in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery.
