Funeral services for Mary Lou Smith Sturm, of Brandon, are 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
Mrs. Sturm, 82, died Dec. 5, 2010, at Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brandon. She was born in Mississippi on June 29, 1928, to Wilburn Allen and Bettie Case Allen.
She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Marvin "Bud" Sturm; her grandson, Noah Dale Smith; her former husband, Trenton Bill Smith, and their daughter, Belita.
Survivors are her sons, Billy Dale Smith and wife Julie of Jackson, and Jimmy Smith and wife Geraldine of Brookhaven; her stepchildren, Bonnie Lash, Alice Sturm, Marvin Sturm Jr. and Ronald Sturm; her grandchild, Penny and husband Stephen; her stepgrandchildren, Angela, Sarah, Mary Jo, Matthew, Erica, Mark and Kailee; and her great-stepgrandchildren, Olivia, William, Cayne and Cameron.
