MEMPHIS, Texas, Aug. 5 (Spl). - Funeral services were conducted here Thursday for Ed Bourland,69, a resident of Memphis since 1920, who died Tuesday night.

Funeral Services For Ed Bourland Held Here Today
Ed Bourland, 69, who had lived in Hall County since 1920, died Tuesday night at 8 o'clock in a local hospital after being there for two weeks.
Bourland had been in ill health for more than two years. He had worked for the Memphis Compress and Western Cotton Oil Mill before being forced to give up his job because of ill health.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Memphis First Baptist Church by Rev. Fern A. Miller, pastor of the church, and Tom Pose, minister of the First Christian Church here.
Burial was in Fairview cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home.
Bourland was born in Grayson county on Oct 11, 1885, and married Ida Elizabeth Savage on Aug. 3, 1911 in Van Alystyne, Texas. They moved to Hall County in 1920.
He is survived by two sons, Curtiss Bourland of Hazel Crest, Ill., and Edward Bourland of Pico, Calif., two daughter [sic], Mrs. Mary Coffman of Anadarko, Okla., and Mrs. Johnny Hancock of Memphis, two sisters, Mrs. Ella Gordon of Sherman, and Mrs. Myrtle Wright of Wichita Falls, three brothers, Floyd Bourland of Fort Worth, John Bourland of Amarillo, and Elmer Bourland of Wichita Falls, and nine grandchildren.
Pall bearers were Mack Graham, Alvin Pyeat, Thomas Clayton, Bill Miller, Ed Hutcherson, and Byron Baldwin.
