Ralph Craver of Centerville, Iowa died Sunday, April 01, 2007 at his residence.

Ralph was born August 11, 1914 the son of Vestus and Blanche(Lunt)Craver in Avery, Iowa. He graduated from Centerville High School and continued his education at Centerville Community College and Iowa Wesleyan. He married Anna Marie Stirts on February 19, 1941 at the First United Methodist Church in Centerville, Iowa. Ralph had Cincinnati Lumber Company until he was drafted into WWll in 1942. In 1945 he bought his dad's lumber company, Fisher Lumber Company, which Ralph changed to Craver Lumber. His brothers, Harlan and Leo joined Ralph in partnership with the business. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, American Legion, Appanoose Country Club, Tennis League and Bowling League.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Marie; two children, Tom(Jane)Craver of Cincinnati, Iowa, and Patti(Bob)Kutcher of Iowa City, Iowa; five grandchildren, Chuck(Robin)Craver of Ottumwa, Iowa, Jessie(Joey)McDanolds of Centerville, Iowa, Molly(Drew)Kelly of Webster City, Iowa, Kari and Logan Kutcher both of Iowa City, Iowa; three great grandchildren, Drake and Brittni Craver, and Rhegan McDanolds; one brother, Leo(Barb)Craver of Centerville, Iowa and one daughter in law, Chris Craver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vestus and Blanche; a son, Dennis, and a brother, Harlan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday morning April 5, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Dianne Christopher officiating. Friends may call Wednesday at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 pm. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Centerville. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Mercy Hospice, Centerville or First Methodist Church, Centerville and may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
