BAIRD -- Frank H. Hodson, 80, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Parker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ross Ellis officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Ross Cemetery Annex.
Mr. Hodson was born in Longmont, Colo., and served with the U.S. Army's 45th Division during World War II. He received a Purple Heart and Silver Star. He moved to Baird in 1945. He married Alene Chatham in 1945 and retired in 1986 from Consolidated Parts Warehouse in Abilene. He was secretary of the Adult I Department at First Baptist Church for many years.
Survivors include his wife, of Baird; one daughter, Mary Lynn Patterson of Dallas; one sister, Esther Holzmeister of Longmont, Colo.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
