Helen Virginia Bass, 98, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010, in Chanute, Kansas.
She was born April 10, 1911, in Fort Scott, Kansas, to James McKee and Frances (Dodge) Beck.
She married Perl Bass in Joplin in 1930. He died in 1932.
She married Delno Bass in 1939. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Neuenschwander, of Fredonia, KS, and Janet Wiglesworth, of Fairway, KS; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Louise Singmaster, of Fort Scott, KS, Ruth Burdick, of St. Petersburg, FL, George Beck, of Sapulpa, OK, and Ralph Beck, of Seattle, WA; a son, Perl Bass; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral will be Friday at Timmons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fort Scott National Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kansas.
Timmons Funeral Home, Fredonia, Kansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
