Mrs. Florence M. Petry, 83, a lifetime resident of Wabash county and resident of Wabash city for the last 31 years, died at 4:45 o'clock Friday afternoon in her home at 580 North Spring street. She had been ill since Jan. 3, 1950.
Mrs. Petry was born June 19, 1867, the daughter of Flavius and Mary E. (Kunse) Brewer. On Oct. 5, 1893, she married Charles F. Petry, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Arnold Gehle and Miss Ruth Petry, and two sons, W. Ralph and Stewart Petry, all of Wabash; three brothers, William H. Brewer, Wabash R.R. 2, Arthur D. Brewer, Mexico, Me. and Howard Brewer, Logansport; two sisters, Mrs. Milo Alger, Wabash, and Mrs. Arthur Sayre, Ponca City, Okla.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A son, Russell, and a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Baker, two brothers and a sister all preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Wabash Christian church where services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. D.G. Ashton in charge of the services. Burial will be in Falls cemetery. Friends may call at the home at 580 North Spring street, the Jones Funeral home reported.
