He was born April 19, 1906, in Cambridge, son of the late William and Dora King. He was a retired Cambridge city street superintendent and a member of Faith Untied Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Meighen; a sister, Pauline Howard; and a half-sister, Margaret Tulip.
Mr. King leaves his wife, Jennie McKim King; two daughters, Jeannine Anker of Cambridge and Linda Pennell of Huron; a brother, Raymond King of Cambridge; a half-sister, Shirley Aldridge of Colorado; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Thorn Funeral Home, where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. James Macdonald officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church Building Fund.
