John A. Bartlow, 97, Eureka, passed away at 10:13 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 13, 2010) at his residence.
He was born Sept. 18, 1912 in Brasher, Mo. to Thomas and Bessie Conder Bartlow. He married Myrtle Mae Wing on Dec. 18, 1935 in Brasher, Mo. She passed away Sept. 16, 1994.
Surviving are two daughters, Roma Wettstein, Eureka, and Elaine (Richard) Bachman, Athens; one son, Vernon Bartlow, Metamora; five grandchildren, Steven Wettstein, Randy Wettstein, Vicki Reese, Ashley Bartlow and Justine Bartlow and four great-grandchildren, Taylor Wettstein, Abby Wettstein, Makenna Reese and Jayce Reese.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother and one son-in-law, Richard Wettstein.
