Hubert Lee Jackson, 85, of Sebring, Fla., was born to Charlie and Sally (Dukes) Jackson and had been a resident of Sebring since 2002, coming from Wauchula, Fla., where he had lived since 1978. He was a supervisor for Prestolite Battery Plant, a Division of Deltra Corp. and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He attended Parkway Free Will Baptist Church in Sebring and was a member of First Baptist Church of Zolfo Springs, Fla. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Josephine Jackson; son, Barton Lee Jackson; stepdaughter, Gloria (Jim) Hughes; stepson, Wayne (Charlotte) Matheny; sister, Jackie (Clarence) Trueleson; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. Burial at Wauchula Cemetery.
