Mrs. Eulia A. Parrish Leach, 86, widow of James A. Leach, died at Guilford College today at 7 am. She had been an invalid for 7 years and in a serious condition for 8 weeks. Mrs. Leach was born in Guilford County on May 15, 1876, the daughter of Ed and Ophelia Kelly Parrish and had spent most of her life in Trinity, moving to High Point in 1943, where she made her home with a son, James Leach. She to moved to Guilford College, eight months ago, to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lillie Upchurch. Mrs. Leach was the oldest chartered member of Trinity Methodist Church. Her husband died February 12, 1944. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lillie Upchurch of Guilford College and Mrs. W.E.Eccles of Rt. 4, High Point; two sons, Willie S. Leach of Rt. 4, High Point and James Leach of 1303 Foust Ave., High Point; one step-daughter, Mrs. Marvin Roach of N. Hamilton St., High Point; one half-brother, Lonnie E. Parrish of Trinity, one sister, Mrs. Dixie Irby of Sarah, Michigan; 11 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
