obit – CHRISTIAN WOMAN BURIED AT SHILOH--Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Max CODY,63, died at her home near Garland Sunday, July 17th.Funeral services were conducted in the Garland Methodist Church Sunday afternoon by Rev. S B MORRISON, pastor, assisted by Rev. W C TARP, pastor of the Garland Baptist Church, interment occurred in Shiloh cemetery. Mrs. CODY was born September 2nd, 1868, in this county. She married in 1888 to Taylor MONTGOMERY, to this union a child was born. Mr. MONTGOMERY died in 1892.On November 24th, 1895, she married W T CODY, to this union three children being born. Mr. CODY preceded her to the grave by 12 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Willie LITTLE, Mrs. Hazelle GRIFFIN and Mrs. Lille CANNON; one son, Bryan CODY and 13 grandchildren; buried Shiloh Cemetery, Burlison TN
