Charles C. Hooper, 98, of Stilwell, Okla., formerly of Madison County, died January 6 in a Stilwell hospital. He was born January 1, 1871, at Dutton, the son of Tillman and Mary Frances Hooper.
His survivors include two sons, Bill, of Stilwell, and Tonie, of Springdale; four daughters, Nora Frederick of Stilwell, Dimple Newman of Stilwell, Virgie Epperson of Springdale, and Ida Thomas of Omak, Wash.; 47 grandchildren, 136 great-grandchildren, and 50 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held today (Thursday) at 1:00 p.m. at Brashears Funeral Chapel with Bro. Merritt Youngblood officiating. Burial will be in the Boston Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
