Mr. Lucy Lemley, wife of David Lemley, deceased, of Perry township, died Sunday morning, October 30, 1898, of pneumonia, aged 74 years. Her maiden name was Headlee, being a daughter of John and Lydia Lemley and the last of a large family to pass to the great beyond. She leaves three sons, John D., Samuel and Endsley, all of Mt. Morris, and four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Bowers, of Bedford, Iowa; Mrs. Catharine Headlee, of Whiteley; Mrs. Sarah Fox, of Mt. Morris, and Mrs. Ruey John, of Waynesburg. The deceased had long been a consistent member of the M. E. church. The funeral was conducted Monday by Rev. Eckles. Interment at the Stephens burying ground. Truly a good woman has gone to her reward.
