I am the only living neice of Bennie McKenney Chatfield. She was the second child & a daughter, never married. She was a resident of Culloden almost continuosly from 1942 until her death in 1967. She lived very frugally, never had a car, a television, air conditioning & she used a small wood heater in one bedroom in the winter. She lived at Boys State as a housemother, near Brunswick, GA for several years in the fifties. The last two years prior to her death she lived at Hilltop Nursing Home in Forsyth, where she died.
