Pneumonia Fatal To Mrs. E. K. Mays
After a brief illness of pneumonia, Mrs. E. K. Mays, aged 28 years, died at her home in the Blue Springs district on Thursday, April 2nd. Mrs. Mays who is survived by her husband and one daughter is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Nelson. She was one of the most beloved and popular young matrons of her community and her death has brought sorrow to a large host of friends. Funeral services were held on Friday the 3rd, from her home with Rev. W. H. Budd, pastor of the Hawkinsville Methodist church officiating. Interment was in Cedar Creek cemetery with W. L. Joiner in charge. Pallbearers were: R. F. Daniels, E. O. Daniles, V. R. Franklin, S. W. Smith, J. O. Slade and R. E. Dawson.
