OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

The body of Mrs. John Patton, who died Thursday morning in the Huntington County hospital, will be taken from the Wire Funeral home to the family residence, 64 Ewing street, Wednesday afternoon where friends may call.

Mrs. Patton who had undergone surgery serveral days ago had lived in Wabash about four years coming here from Kentucky. She was born May 6, 1902 in Henry county, Ky., to Scott and Elizabeth (Skidmore) McQueen. Her marriage to John Patton took place June 30, 1923.

In addition to Mr. Patton she is survived by seven children, Mary, John Jr., Betty Lou, Estella Mae, Charles and Billie, in the Army, Joseph and Noble Lawson Patton; one sister, Mrs. Ida Hower, Wabash; three brothers, Walter and Charles, Cincinnati, O., and Noble McQueen, Montgomery; and two grandchildren.

The decedent was a member of the Christian church.

Funeral arrangements will be made later when word has been received from the one son who is with the Army of this country.
