Longtime Bethany, OK resident, Norma Kathryn Mathis, born Aug. 28, 1932, Dallas, TX, accepted her Lord, Jesus Christ, Jan. 4, 2010, and He greeted her home on Jan 7th. Ms. Mathis was known as Aunt Norma to most & NeemaKay by her "Best Boy" Michael Sackett. Ms. Mathis, a woman ahead of her time, received a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the Univ. of Okla. in the mid-50's and kept all professional credentials current to date. In earlier days she obtained her single-engine pilot's license, allowing her travel & work in pharmacies throughout OK & TX in her own Cessna. A passionate reader, movie buff, and in recent years avid Ebay(er), Ms. Mathis is preceded in death by beloved parents, Clara & Bill (Pop) Mathis; brothers, Jim & Al; survived by Michael Sackett & wife Kristen of Edmond, Cristina Beyers of Bethany, Kathryn Tapp, OKC, & Brenda Flesher & husband Baker of Edmond, their families and truly, countless extended family & friends. Funeral service Jan. 14, 2010, 2 pm, Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
