Payson, Utah - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, Karen Lynne Ravsten Baker, age 53, of Payson, was tragically taken from us on New Years Day in a motorcycle accident in Lucerne Valley, California.

She was born October 17, 1956 in Hollister, California, a daughter of Lynn Allen and Mildred Taylor Ravsten. She graduated from Orem High School, Class of 1974. She attended college at Idaho State University and Brigham Young University.

Karen married Colton Duke Baker, September 17, 1976 in the Logan LDS Temple.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving as Relief Society President, Young Women's President, Camp Director, Sunday School Teacher and Activities Committee Chairman.

Karen did volunteer work for young mothers. She enjoyed quilting, needlework, painting, crafts, gardening, reading, cooking and baking, and her grandkids. She was an avid Nascar and Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast.

She is survived by her husband, Colton Duke Baker of Payson; children: Melinda Kay and Reed Jared Pebbles of Thayne, Wyoming; Colton Garrett Baker of Santaquin; Jillian Baker of Logan; Elise and Michael Ford of Spanish Fork; 5 grandchildren; parents: Mildred Allred of Provo; Lynn and Patricia Ravsten of Sequim, Washington; brother and sisters: Jon Erik and Elaine Ravsten of Renton, Washington; Shelley and Lee Bailey of West Jordan; Becky and Bill Heath of Lompoc, California; brothers and sisters-in-law: Milton and Carolyn Baker of Nibley; Heber and Doris Baker of Pleasant Grove; Meleta and Robert Taylor of Orem.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Spring Lake 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 586 West 1750 South in Payson, where friend may call for viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be Friday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. in the Teasdale Cemetery in Teasdale, Utah under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
