Mrs. James E. Gann, 64, Stephens County native, died at Stephens Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient. She had been a patient of Villa Haven Nursing home for two years.

Services were held at Bates Chapel Baptist Church.

Emma Evelena Deaver married James E. Gann on 10 June 1928 at Breckenridge. The couple lived in Breckenridge most of their married life except for five years when they lived in Denton. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Survived by her husband; one daughter - Mrs. Durwood Seber of Breckenridge; two sisters - Alarena Deaver and Mrs. Loys Martin, both of Breckenridge; three brothers - Dewey of Olney, J.B. of Monahans, C.B. of Lone Star; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

One daughter preceded her in death.

Nephews were pallbearers.
