Aline B. Painter Davis Torbett, age 95, of Bolviar, MO, formerly of Morrisville, MO, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at Citizens Memorial Hospital Bolivar, MO. She was born October 24, 1919, in Polk County, MO, to Otis and Dessie (Smith) Painter. She was a beauty operator and business owner for over 12 years. She was the Morrisville City Collector for over 25 years and had a hand in starting the Morrisville Water System.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband David R. Davis, Sr., second husband John Torbett; one brother Tobe Painter; one sister Opal Boyd; great grandson Michael Gilmore; a daughter-in-law Phyllis Davis; and a son-in-law Jim.
She is survived by four children: David Davis, Jr., Gene Davis and wife Irene; James “Jim” Davis and wife Marilyn, and Patty Sikes; nine grandchidren: Sharon Coon, Vicky Ross, Terri Angleton, Tim Davis, Michele Hosley, Malissa Julien, Paul Sikes, Paula Sokolik, Patrick Sikes; 17 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchidren and one on the way.
Burial at Morrisville Cemetery, Morrisville, MO.
