Graveside services for Eddie Lamar Paul were to be held today, Jan. 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating was the Rev. Ben Jordan.
Family received friends from 5 until 8 p.m., Sunday, January 3, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Eddie was born Feb. 20, 1938, in Shreveport to Thelma Childs Paul and George Lawrence Paul.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Hodges; father, George Paul; and brother, George "Larry" Paul. Eddie lost his courgeous battle with cancer Jan. 1, 2010.
He is survived by his loving wife, Etta of Minden; his only son, Lary Lamar Paul of Maybank, Texas; two daughters, Sondra Paul Chapman of Dallas and Kerensa Paul Naghshbandi and husband Shahram of Ft. Worth, Texas; sisters, Florence Paul Goyanes and husband Tony and Frances Paul Foster both of Minden (Evergreen); three grandsons; four granddaughters; four nieces; four nephews; and other loved ones.
Pallbearers were Kerry "Doc" Holliday, Ronnie Quatruopolo, Donnie Quatruopolo, David Haynie, James Sikes, David Dalton, Tony Defoor and Jerry Sinnema.
Honorary pallberaers were Grover Sikes, Leon Haynie, and James Pruitt.
