Benjamin F. Reitz Dies at age or 81
Bemjamin Franklin Reitz of Coolspring, died Thursday in his home, following a lengthy illness. He was 81 years of age.
Born in Coolspring March 13 1878, a son of Peter and Elizabeth Funk Reitz, he was first married to Annie Smith and following her death in 1935, to Virginia Weiss Law. (should be Virginia Law Weiss).
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Clifford Wachob, of Oliveburg, Mrs. Carl Hanley, of Rochester, and Mrs. Charles Allshouse, of Stonboro. He leaves also a step-daughter, Mrs. Richard Donahue, of DuBois, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. William Geist of Brookville R. D. 3, and a brother, Alfred Reitz, of Anita, Also survive. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Pifer Funeral Home in this city. Interment will be in a Coolspring Cemetery.
