ISAAC WILLIAMS DIES MONDAY AT LOCAL HOSPITAL
A life-long resident of Canon City and this vicinity, Isaac Edward Williams, 71, died at a local hospital about 9:30 Monday morning from heart trouble and complications.
In failing health for two years, Mr. Williams' condition had been serious only slightly over a week.
He was born in Canon City on November 14, 1869 (to John Franklin and Rachael Ann Loux Williams), and would have celebrated his 72nd birthday next month. His home was at 832 South Fifth street.
For many years he was engaged in ranching and farming in and around Canon City, had been retired several years. He was a member of the First Christian church and was a former member of the Odd Fellows lodge.
He was married on August 18, 1902, to Martha Evelyn Richie, who survives. Others survivors are three children, Mrs. Vera Corey and Clyde Jackson Williams of Canon City, and Vearl Edward Williams of Salida; two Charles of Coal Creek and Dewey of Pueblo; two sisters, Mrs. Maude (Bert) McDaniels of Grand Junction and Mrs James W. Yarberry of Boulder; and nine grandchildren.
Mr. Williams was known in all parts of Fremont county. His body is in care of the Home mortuary and funeral arrangements will be announced later.
