Karen Alette Agnew, 85, of Bagley, died on Tuesday, August 21, 2001, at the Greensview Health Care Center in Bagley.
Karen was born November 16, 1915, in Rothsay, Minnesota, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Ronningen) Amundson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and at the Hamar Lutheran Church in Rothsay and lived most of her life in Minnesota, but also in Missouri, Washington and Oregon.
She married Vernon Agnew on August 28, 1937, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She was employed by Western Electric for three months, Ojibwa Press and Gem Stores. They moved to Bagley in 1990.
Karen attended the Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley.
Survivors include one daughter, Marlys (Jim) Woods, Bellevue, Washington; two sons, Larry (Alice) Agnew, St. Paul, Bob (Becky) Agnew, Clearbrook; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, in 1993; sister Lillian; four brothers, Maurice, Elias, Henry and George; and two great grandchildren, Sarah Rose Woods and Bryan Anthony Woods.
Funeral services were Friday, August 24 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley, with Rev. John Omans and Pastor Mardy Schermerhorn officiating.
Interment was at the Bagley City Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home, of Bagley.
