Born April 26, 1938, in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Francis A. and Erma (Manahan) Althoff.
Sonny was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford.
He was the husband of Patricia A. (Cool) Althoff and, in addition to her, Sonny is survived by son, Ronald F. Althoff and wife, Lesa of Dillsburg; daughter, Carol P. Neiderer and husband, Craig of Biglerville; son, Richard A. Althoff and wife, Lori of East Berlin; seven grandchildren; a sister, Marian Warrenfeltz of Myersville, MD; and six brothers, Eugene Althoff of Gettysburg, Joseph Althoff of Oklahoma City, OK, Herbert Althoff of Hagerstown, MD, Harold "Tony" Althoff of Del Rio, TX, Samuel Althoff of Vienna, VA, and Michael Althoff of Oklahoma City, OK.
He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Althoff, Sr. and a sister, Gladys Puff.
Interment was in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery.
