Estelline Rites Held Sunday For William J. Eddins

Funeral services for William Jennings Eddins, 75, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 31, in the First Baptist Church at Estelline. Officiating were the Rev. Cliff Niles, pastor, and the Rev. Ray Forbes, pastor of the First United Methodist Church there, officiating.

Burial was in the Estelline Cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home.

Mr. Eddins passed away Thursday, August 28, at 9:20 p.m. in a Childress Hospital.

Will Eddins was born June 27, 1900, in Paradise and was a resident of Hall County for 68 years. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Baptist Church and the Estelline Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include: one brother, Joe of Estelline; three sisters, Mrs. Hortence Lovejoy of Milnesand, N.M., Mrs. Velma Piland of Lubbock and Mrs. Thelma Phillips of Estelline.

Pallbearers were Joe Kent Eddins, Bill Sddins [sic], Gene Eddins, Jim Eddins, Noel Long and Gene Piland.
