Margaret Jane Dorr Oct. 6 ,1933 — Jan. 8, 2010COMANCHE — Margaret Jane Dorr peacefully passed away early Friday morning, Jan. 8, 2010, at her home west of Comanche, at the age of 76. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday Jan. 11 at the Corum Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Humphries officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to noon Monday.Jane was born Oct. 6, 1933 in Duncan, to Oswald E. and Grace (Anderson) Green. She was a 1952 graduate of Empire High School.She and Leonard Dorr were married June 6, 1953 at Henrietta, Texas. Jane was a loving wife and mother, and a devoted Christian. She was the pianist at Corum Baptist Church for more than 40 years and she passed on her love of music to her children, and granddaughter.She also enjoyed crafts, quilting, and she loved spending time with her family and many friends.She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Leonard, of the home; two sons: Johnny Dorr, of Comanche and Joe Dorr and wife, Tonia, of Comanche; a daughter, Janice Anderson and husband, Kim, of Duncan; two granddaughters: Kellee LeRoy and husband, John, of Camp Lejeune, N.C. and Jennifer Suson and husband, Jordan, of Duncan; one great-grandson, Logan LeRoy, of Camp Lejeune; several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, James Green.Pallbearers will be Carl Hays, Harold Green, Jimmy Weldon, John Akers, Billy Wright, Earl Cox, Chris Hinsley, and John Hamilton.
