Jefferies (sic) —Davis
The news of the marriage of Miss Amy Belle Davis and Mr. Charles Samuel Jefferies (sic) doubtless comes as a surprise to their many friends. The ceremony occured (sic) at the Christian parsonage Wednesday evening, Febr., 24th, at 5:30, Rev. Youtsy officiating, and was witnessed by a few close relatives and intimate friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Davis living southwest of town, and is well known to Chester people, having -attended High School here and later having taught two terms of school near town The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Jefferies (sic) living south of town, and is also well and favorably known in Chester and vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. Jefferies left on No. 15 for Orleans, Nebr., where they will spend a week visiting at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Ross Lane. They will make their home on the Klingman farm two miles south of town. The Herald joins the many friends in good wishes for their future.—Chester Herald

Amy Jeffries Dies
Funeral services for Mrs. Amy Jeffries of Denver, Colo., were held Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Hodgman-Splaine Funeral Home in Lincoln, with interment being made in the Chester Cemetery. Among her survivors is a sister, Mrs. Clarence Palmer of Chester.
