"Mrs. Blanche Esta Jenkins Dies

"Mrs. Blanche Esta Jenkins of Luray, passed away at the age of 65 on Friday, August 2nd at 10:45 p.m. At the time of her death, she had been a patient in the Page* Memorial Hospital for one day and had been an invalid for the past seventeen years.

"Mrs. Jenkins had been an employee of the Casey Jones and Blue Bell plant for a number of years and was a faithful member of the Luray Christian Church.

"She was born on November 27, 1897, the daughter of the late Charles G. Lillard and Annie Aleshire Lillard.

"Her husband, Floyd E. Jenkins, preceded her in death one February 16th, 1936.

"She is survived by one son, Adrian Jenkins, of Luray, and three sisters, Mrs. P. Irah Stern, of Harrisonburg; Mrs. Ray (Mary) Finter, of Luray and Mrs. Zula Bryson of Hampton and one brother, Claude R. Lillard, of Alexandria.

"Funeral services were held on Monday, August 5th, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of the Bradley Funeral Home with the Rev. O.L. Martin officiating. Interment was in Beahm's Chapel Cemetery...
