Glen Thomas Metcalf, son of William and Cordelia (Burk) Metcalf, was born July 28, 1903 and departed this life Saturday, October 16, 1993 in Meadowbrook Manor of Crane, Mo., at the age of 90 years, two months, and 18 days. Glen, a retired carpenter, was married to Inez Steele, who preceded him in death. Survivors include three sons, Bill and Bob Metcalf both of Crane, Mo., and Wayne Metcalf of Baxter Springs, Kans.; one daughter, Peggy Butler of Panhandle, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 18 in the First Baptist Church, Crane, Mo., with the Rev. Ervin Benz officiating. Burial was in Crane Community Cemetery under the direction of Manlove Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
