He was born January 28, 1919 in Middletown, Indiana, and resided in this area all of his life.
James worked for Omar Bakery for 25 years and Nuce Texico for 15+ years.
He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruth Ellen (Hedges) Hale; children, Richard (Joan) Hale of Anderson, Ronald (friend, Helen) Hale of Matthew, North Carolina, Pamela (Dan) Speelman of Kissamee, Florida and James A. (Cheryl) Hale of Pendleton; Josephine (Earl) Baumann of Odessa, Texas; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil B. & Ernestina (Nyboer) Hale and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 12-1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson.
Services will be Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home, south chapel, with Rev. Ronald Whitlock officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
