Funeral Will Be Held at Residence Thursday at 2 P.M.,
Dr. Strock Officiating
Benjamin Britton Clark, No. 151 Charles Street, for many years an employee of the Huber Manufacturing company and a veteran of the civil war, died from uremic poisoning and the infirmities of age at his home Tuesday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock. He had been ill almost a year.
Mr. Clark was seventy-seven years of age, having been born in this count April 29, 1844, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Clark. He was married February 9, 1869, to Hannah Uncapher, of this city, who survives him, with their children, Albert Clark, Mrs. Ray Merchant, and Otto Clark, all of Marion.
Mr. Clark also leaves three brothers, Wesley Clark, of Salt Lake City; Hiram Clark, of Boise City, Idaho, and Jeremiah Clark, of New York City.
In Sherman' Brigade
Mr. Clark was a member of B. Company, 121st Regiment, O.V.I. and was in Sherman's brigade. He was a member of Cooper Post, No. 117 G.A.R. and of the First Presbyterian Church. He was employed at the Huber shops for twenty-eight years. Six years ago he gave up his work on account of his health.
Friends may view the remains at the home from 7 until 9 o'clock Wednesday evening. The funeral will be held at the residence Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Dr. L. L. Strock officiating. Interment will be made in the Marion cemetery.
