A Suicide
Mr. Henry Foster, an old citizen of this county, committed suicide last Friday morning by hanging himself to an apple tree limb at his residence near Clarksburg. The deceased was about 60 years of age, and has been for several years, afflicted more or less with an aberration of mind. Last spring he was admitted to the Asylum at Indianapolis and was discharged but a few days prior to the sad event, to all appearances a well man, but his melancholy demise on Friday, convinces all that his mind was still diseased.
Coroner’s Notice
At an inquest held over the body of Henry Foster who was found dead on the 10th day of August 1866, in Johnson County, State of Indiana. The description of the deceased was to be as follows: Age 70 years, sallow complexion and about 5 feet 7 inches in height, and grey hair and blue eyes. No valuable or money found upon his person.
